Bike race brasov 2017

The BikeRace Brasov event on June 11, 2017, in its 4th edition, is a continuation of the Brasov Citadel Duathlon and represents its transformation into a monodiscipline, namely a mountain biking marathon. The route starts from Piata Unirii, where the stands of this competition will be located during the competition, continues towards Pietrele lui Solomon following the Forest Road to Poiana Brasov, where the return takes place through Crucuru Mare, Poiana Stehil, Saua Tampa, the surroundings of Mount Tampa, the Forest High School and returns to Piata Unirii on Strada Curcanilor and Strada Coastei.
The purpose of this event is to develop mass sports in Brasov but also to promote the city of Brasov from a tourist point of view by highlighting the Piata Unirii area, the newly redeveloped area.
The BikeRace Brasov route is developed in collaboration with experienced mountain bike athletes and is accessible to any cyclist with minimal mountain biking experience. The estimated time to complete the route by an averagely trained participant is between 1h 30 minutes and 2 h for the Half Marathon and between 1h 45 minutes and 2h 45 minutes for the Marathon.
