Bucharest mtb race 2017

Bucharest MTB Race is a mountain bike competition, which aims to support a healthy lifestyle and promote the Văcărești Natural Park as a space for protection, education and recreation in the agglomeration of Bucharest. Cycling is an activity allowed and encouraged by the park's regulations, the event organizers ensuring that the presence of athletes in the park will have zero impact on species and habitats.
The event welcomes nature lovers, amateur and professional cyclists who want to test their skills on two wheels, in an unforgettable natural setting right in the middle of Bucharest.

The Văcărești Natural Park was established by Government Decision on May 11, 2016. It is the first natural park located in an urban area in Romania. The park, IUCN category V, was created especially for the protection of the landscape: a unique variety of ponds and vegetation specific to wetlands in a highly anthropized urban space.
