Gradistei gorge dh 2016

Cheile Grădiștei is the stage that opens the first Romanian National Downhill Cup.

The competition will take place on the already well-known Downhill route.

ROUTE

The winding road has been worked on so that the second part (the one after the last 2 thresholds/steep sections) is now a speed section, with wide turns. The exit from the winding road has also been modified, the steep section has been replaced with a series of fast turns.

The section after the exit from the winding road and up to the doubles is unchanged. We want to transform the first double into a tabletop (we haven't been able to do this yet due to the rainy weather and the muddy ground that doesn't allow us to enter the forest with the mini-excavator).
The section after the doubles and to the finish is a new one, of flow, speed turns alternating with more technical, root sections.
The finish has been moved higher and the line after the exit from the forest and to the finish is 100\% new.

PROGRAM

The route will be open for training starting Friday but for track walking, from Thursday afternoon.

Thursday

16:00 - 18:00 registration and track walk (the route is not open for training)

Friday

08:00-09.00 Track walk
09:00-13:00 Training
13.00-14.30 Break (track walk for those who arrived late)
14:30- 18:00 Training

Saturday

Sunday – day of the date, the operating program is between 10:00 and 17:00, and the shuttle operates with a minimum of 5 riders, based on a subscription that costs 70 lei/day.

*In case the weather conditions are not favorable, the program may be subject to changes

EQUIPMENT

Mandatory: full-face helmet, knee pads, handlebar plugs or sleeves that cover the ends of the handlebars.

We recommend: back protection and neck-brace.

REGISTRATION

The participation categories are: Open, Juniors, Elite, Masters and Women.

The registration fee is: 150 lei.

*Payment will be made at the registration office

**In the same place you will also fill out the form certifying that you agree to participate in this competition at your own risk.

***Minors are OBLIGED to present a notarized document at registration in which the parent approves the child's participation in the competition.

****Open class participants will provide proof of accident insurance and a certificate from their family doctor by email after completing the online form or at the race office, on the day of the competition.

*****The Open class is common for both sexes and participants of all ages and is aimed at those who are not interested in the competitive side of the event. At the same time, participants in this class, although timed, will NOT be scored within the National Downhill Cup. There will be no different categories based on age or gender in this class.
