Hardcourt bike polo
Description
Hardcourt Bike Polo. Polo on horseback without a horse, on a solid asphalt field, delimited by a fence. This sport was brought back to life (in the asphalt version) in America, in the late 90s, by some bicycle couriers, as a way to spend their free time between deliveries. In 2011, it also appeared in our country, and since then, this spectacular, fast and dynamic game has taken root in our country. The game combines cycling with the spectacular elements of ball games, as well as the tactics necessary in team games. In addition, there are collisions, elbows are used to the fullest, elements that make it as exciting as it seems at first glance. In terms of hardness, it is somewhere between lacrosse and hockey. However, the friendly atmosphere of the game means that the hardness does not exceed the limits of the field. This friendship also characterizes what happens behind the scenes. Without any organizational structure, this sport is promoted by the enthusiasm of those who practice it in various countries of the world. Starting with 2009, European and world championships are organized annually under such conditions, with increasingly strong support from some manufacturers of sporting goods. Lately, the media has also started to pay attention to this sport.
