Mammoth bike race 2017

“The competition is of the XC mountain bike type, intended mainly for amateur athletes, beginners or advanced, but also for licensed athletes. There will still be 2 competition routes, each of the participants can choose, depending on their physical condition and level of training. In this 3rd edition, we have increased the degree of difficulty of the short route, considering that the new landscapes are fully worth covering the approximately 7km in addition to the first 2 editions,” the representatives of the Bicheru Cycling Association report.
The organizers propose 2 competition routes for this 3rd edition:
-SHORT route, with a length of approximately 35km (difference in level +1300m), considered of medium difficulty.
-LONG route, with a length of approximately 60km (difference in level +2000m), considered of increased difficulty.
The competition routes will be finalized and announced at least 3 weeks before the competition date, by August 12, 2017.
The event, scheduled for September 2, 2017, is an outdoor competition held mostly through the forest near Alba Iulia. The routes will include areas of asphalt (bike track), dirt, gravel, boulders and grass (forest roads and tourist trails).
The organizers of the event are "Bicheru Cycling", in partnership with the Alba Iulia City Hall.
