Metal enduro 2014

METAL ENDURO is in its 2nd edition and will take place on October 12, 2014. The number of participants for the 2014 edition is limited to 100 places.

METAL is mainly held in a rally-type format with timed special stages, generally on paths that descend but also have climbing areas. The special stages are very different in rhythm but also in approach style, they are mainly in forests with natural obstacles, rocky areas and of course winding paths that are covered at full speed.

There are also connecting stages between the special stages, which have a maximum time to cover but this is a relaxed one (which allows participants to rest or socialize while they cover them).
The competition route is in the center of Resita, on the hills around it, Poiana Goluuli and Dealul Ciorii.

It is a type of race accessible to all mountain bikers, not just those who have a very good physical condition and is mainly aimed at those who love the all-mountain genre. The trails on which the special stages are held are 80% downhill and have many sections of a higher technical level, and mistakes mean a loss of time – so it is not enough to be the fastest all the time.

METAL is not a downhill race or an XC race. It is an Enduro type race. It is aimed at technical mountain bikers looking for adrenaline as well as those with physical condition... it is certainly a difficult race that stresses the cyclist and the material.
