National downhill championship

We are happy to announce that on September 2-3 we are waiting for you in Sinaia where Bike Resort Sinaia is the host of the National Downhill Championship, an event that returns to the competition calendar after a 5-year absence.

The event is thus organized by Kronstadt Cycling in partnership with Bike Resort Sinaia, PlanetBike, Gondola Sinaia and last but not least with Sinaia City Hall.

ROUTE:

The event takes place on the Happy Bear route, a route to which we intervened and made changes intended to make it more fun and at the same time safer in competition mode.

The start will be like last year behind the Cota 1400 chalet (the old start).

The works on the route are still ongoing and on the weekend of August 26-27 we are organizing an event to work on the route and prepare it for the competition. For those who want to get involved, more information here: Ultima lopă!

Friday:

For Friday, access will be based on a card purchased in the normal mode, 95lei/day

REGULATIONS:

The competition is held according to the UCI and FRC DOWNHILL mountain bike regulations. Mandatory: full-face helmet, knee pads, handlebar caps or sleeves that cover the ends of the handlebars.
We recommend: back protection and neck brace.

Athletes in the Women's, Juniors, Elite and Masters categories must hold a valid FRC license.
Athletes in the OPEN category must hold a medical certificate attesting to their fitness for the effort and valid insurance in case of an accident.
Verification of licenses, medical certificates, insurance and collection of race numbers will be done at the Race Office, when picking up the race packages.
Timing: Photocell.

Registration fee: 150 lei
Participants in the Women's class do not pay a registration fee.
While the Hardtail and Open categories exist at the event level, the title of National Champion will only exist in the categories: Children, Women, Juniors, Elite and Masters
