Run & ride challenge

The event is aimed at all outdoor sports enthusiasts, being a challenge both in terms of the natural route chosen and the special obstacles installed at the points of maximum interest of the route. In addition to the competition element, RRC wants to promote a lifestyle close to sports, healthy, competitive, but also fair play.

The competition will consist of a single event, structured in 3 parts: cycling a circuit with obstacles - natural and artificial - of approximately 12 km (RIDE), running on varied terrain and overcoming the natural obstacles encountered (RUN) and running through a special area with obstacles (SPECIAL RUN). The maximum elevation of the RIDE route is 30\%, and of the RUN route 35\%.

The spectacularity of this type of competition comes from the high degree of difficulty of the chosen route, but also from the sequence of artificial obstacles specially designed to offer the public an interesting and real image of the effort made by the competitors, the area of special obstacles being intentionally chosen to be viewed by the general public. For the competitors, this competition is unique, as no route has been created in this way before, being the organizers' own vision of the ideal athlete who overcomes all the challenges encountered. The way to approach each obstacle is left to the competitors to promote the creative spirit and speed of reaction.

The competition enjoys broad support from local authorities, the support of Codlea City Hall and the Local Council of Codlea City, being organized by the Happy Riders Braşov Sports Club, in partnership with Casa Bicicletelor, a specialized bicycle store. This competition attracted the attention of several athletes from other fields, with the Happy Fighters Karate Braşov Sports Club actively involved both in the organizational field and in participation.
