Tarcu bison marathon - 2014
Description
The Ţarcu Bizon Marathon, 2014 edition, takes place on June 22 in the Armeniş commune.
The event is organized by the Altitude Association and Racing Bike Pro (cycling club affiliated with the Romanian Cycling Federation) in collaboration with other partners (Armeniş City Hall, Concordia Lugoj, Bike Attack Reşiţa, Rewilding Romania), with the support of decision-makers (Salvamont, Gendarmerie, Police).
The competition is part of the MTB West Bike Tour series of competitions, which includes 9 mountain bike competitions organized in the west of the country.
The competition includes several categories on the routes: a 75 km Marathon, a 35 km Race and a cycling race for children under 14 years old (Kids).
The Family category will cover the 35 km route.
We are pleased to organize this competition in honor of the reintroduction of bison into the protected area of the Ţarcu Mountains (May 2014) within the Rewilding Europe reservation on the Râul Alb (Armeniş commune). The routes extend through the Armeniş, Cornereva, Teregova and Domaşnea areas, a true paradise for cyclists both for the variety of roads that can be used and for the generosity of nature and the beauty of the landscapes in the area.
