Description
The "Via Maria Theresia" marathon includes 3 events: marathon, half-marathon and mountain biking, but spectators and hikers are also welcome.
“Via Maria Theresia” is located at an average altitude of 1760m, with 7 access roads along its entire length. The starting point is the former sulfur quarry in the Călimani mountains, and the finish is at Piatra Fântânele, Bistrița-Năsăud county.
Participants are expected at the Start location the evening before for a technical meeting, where the route will be explained in detail and precise details will be given. We provide their transportation between Finish and Start, recommend places to stay and offer them a unique mountain route in the country for use.
