The first edition of the XCM Cheia MTB Challenge awaits you with the most spectacular route in the Maneciu-Cheia area. The climb up the Tătaru Mountains will offer you an unforgettable experience, with challenging climbs, breather areas where you can admire the fairytale landscapes, and high-speed descents.

The Cheia MTB Challenge route is a circuit type, with the start and finish in the commune of Măneciu, near the Măneciu reservoir. The length of the route is 49 km and the difference in elevation is almost 1200 meters. The highest point of the route is near Vârful Crai with a height of 1472 m. The average time to complete the route is 4 hours. There will be refueling points along the entire route where you will find water, fruit and energy drinks. The time limit is 6 hours in dry conditions, in exceptional cases the time limit will be extended or it will wait until the last competitor arrives.
