Mtb winter 4xcross 2017
Description
A unique competition that arouses the public's curiosity through the concept of bicycles on snow. It excites participants from the mass start qualifying round. It requires all the techniques of descending, sliding and jumping with a bicycle.
The first 16 participants enter the trials in groups of 4, in an elimination format, the top 2 competitors advance to the final.

REGULATIONS:
- The minimum age for participation is 16 years.
- Qualifications involve completing the sledding route, with a group start, in a single round.
- Depending on the results obtained in the qualifying round, groups of 4 competitors will be formed for the final rounds (first group: 1 with 4 with 13 with 16, for the variant with 16 competitors in the final).
- A number of 16 or 32 competitors will qualify for the finals.
- A gate has been passed correctly when both the competitor, the bike and both feet have crossed the gate line.
- The official training consists of two legs on the competition route.
- Only competitors qualified for the finals enter the practice rounds.
- The first two competitors qualify for the next round (two out of four).
- The ranking in each heat is determined by the first body part to cross the finish line.
- The finish line is equipped with a video camera that will operate throughout the entire competition.
- If none of the competitors reach the finish line in the final, the ranking will be determined by their position on the route.
- Following the qualifying round, the best result will be awarded the red jersey/number and will have the right to choose the starting gate first, followed by the other 3 who will do the same following the result obtained in the qualifying round
- Presence at the start is the responsibility of each competitor, if they do not show up at the start they will be disqualified.
- The starting interval between rounds will be established at the technical meeting.
- If a competitor loses their helmet due to a fall, they are no longer allowed to continue the route (safety reasons).

DISQUALIFICATIONS:
Intentional contact by pushing, pulling or tugging by hand, foot or bicycle and/or other means, which causes another competitor to slow down, fall or go off the course is not permitted and is an automatic disqualification.
Disqualified competitors are no longer entitled to start in other rounds of the competition.
PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
Protective equipment must include the following:
- Downhill approved full-face helmet, approved spine protection.
- Without these two protective elements, the competitor will not be allowed to start the competition.
- It is forbidden to wear the helmet over a cap or other object that prevents its full protection.
- It is prohibited to wear the belt protector over a jacket or other form of clothing.
- The use of foam elbow and knee pads is permitted.
