Between 06.09-08.09.2013, the festival dedicated to extreme sports on two wheels (without and with a motor) called Dirt Fest 2013 will take place at Cheile Gradistei / Moeciu-Fundata (Brasov County). Within this festival, an important section is dedicated to Downhill and 4Cross.
What is happening practically?
Downhill: we are waiting for you with last year's route, restored and improved, the same permanent timing system throughout the competition day, so that everyone can see how they are evolving on the route, the feeding/hydration area at the finish, and a campfire in the evening, plus a number of other goodies that you have yet to find out.
What do you mean by permanent timing? Simple! Our competition concept involves measuring the times obtained by competitors throughout the day. Riders can ride as many laps as they can handle, and as much as they like, in the allotted time, trying to improve their performance.
After each ride, they can see their exact position in the instant ranking, displayed on the display at the finish line. The winner will be the one who at the end of the day achieves the best cumulative time on the two routes. And yes, the idea remains the same as last year: we want to see as many people as possible riding, because riding a bike puts smiles on our faces, where they belong!
The start is at Cheile Gradistei Fundata, at an altitude of approximately 1300m. The finish is located in the Cheile Gradistei Moeciu complex on the ski slope
4X (4 Cross): A spectacular route (probably one of the largest in the country) awaits you at the Fundata location to show off your skills.
